Another of Hilary’s circular shawls designed to mimic the look of a semi-circular shawl with the ends tucked in. This one doesn’t sit as close to the neck as Luna Viridis, and the lace is more open as well, which means it’s not quite a snuggly. But it’s still lovely to wear and look at, and my version satisfied by continued desire for shades of orange, brown, and gold.
Things I Did
To use up my yarn, I lengthened the shawl by adding one extra full pattern repeat following these steps:
- On Section 4, Round 20 (Inc Rnd), instead of doing (K5, kfb) 22 times to increase to 154 stitches, I did (K10, kfb) 12 times to increase to 144 stitches.
- Repeat Section 3, Rnd 2–19.
- Inc Rnd: (K5, kfb) 24 times.
- Complete Edging section as written.
- Bind off using Elastic Bind Off.
Finished Measurements
Center Front Length: 17.5”
Circumference: 44.5”
Note: A longer front may have been achieved with more aggressive blocking, but I’m also naturally a tight knitter.
