Notes

A knit dice bag for my husband’s first grown-up D&D campaign. His character, Odo Fridtjofsen, is a trident-wielding fisherman, and Justin felt that it would be appropriate to have a suitably themed bag to wrangle and transport his all-important dice. I couldn’t agree more.

Things I Did Differently

  • Used fingering yarn held double (instead of DK yarn held single) on US 3
  • Used magic loop instead of DPNs
  • Knit a bottom fin to mirror the top fin
  • Omitted the scales
  • Replaced the knitted eyes with 20 mm sew-on googly eyes
  • Created two three-strand braids using six equal lengths of yarn each for the drawstrings instead of I-cord
  • Threaded a decorative charm near the end of each braid
  • Threaded both drawstrings through the eyelets so that the ends hang downward (like barbels)
  • Omitted the shoulder strap

Finished Measurements
