Mom can’t stand wool against the skin of her lower legs or anything tight around her ankles, so I started with acrylic yarn and a slip stitch cast on.

Slight modifications: Only 34 rounds/5 inches for the leg. I did slip the first st on each row of the heel and worked 14 rows instead of 12.

And, I didn’t like the twisted sts in the double bind off, so I remounted the second stitch before doing the decrease/bind off. No more twisted stitches!
