So I’m probably insane for trying this, but I am going to lose the thumb gusset and work this flat with corrugated ribbing. Here’s hoping I don’t wind up in a corner crying ;)

Ok, worked flat, and cast on 44 stitches. Worked the ribbing in corrugated ribbing, and once that was complete, used a hybrid intarsia/fair isle technique to work the cables. I then seamed up the side

If I were to do this again, I would work this in the round, and just nix the intarsia, but still do the fair isle, and just carry the CC all the way around, doing vertical stripes on the palm, or maybe even just bring the ribbing all the way up the palm, so that the cables and background wouldn’t be so bunched up. Also, I’d work in the round so as to have the cables on the center of the back of the hand, instead of shifted over to the side. It’s not that I don’t like the way the cables are shifted, I wouldn’t mind having them centered either :P
