Super quick (one evening) and easy project. I ignored doing a gauge swatch and cast on the newborn size using an aran weight yarn. I realized pretty quickly that it was going to be bigger, so I stuck with only using size 6 needles for the entire hat. It is still much larger than I anticipated, more like a toddler size. It’s okay though, I know a toddler that would look adorable in this hat.
