Notes

Testing for Isabell. This colour is way far out of my comfort zone but it’s beautiful. Getting gauge on 7s.

Done. Mods: Sleeves a little longer because my arms are long. Otherwise, knit as written. Pattern is clear as always, and I love the garter stitch back. I’ve got about 2 inches of positive ease at the bust, and I think I could even get away with knitting the next size up for a slouchier, more oversized fit, but I wanted to make sure the pattern fit nicely in the shoulders.

Yarn: First time using Harrisville Highland. I knit directly from the cone, and the yarn is totally transformed after a soak. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a yarn bloom so much. Gauge did not really change, but the stitches really filled in and the fabric looks plusher. It’s quite soft for woolly wool (but I am not sensitive to wool at all) and warm as well. I am very happy with the yarn and it works really well for this pattern.
