Henry asked for a “crazy rainbow sweater.” So here it is. Very straightforward pattern so far. He has a ginormous head, so I had to rip out and start over when the neck was too small. I cast on with 10 extra stitches and it worked out fine.

30/4/14: Done. Henry LOVES it. I am so glad. Fit is great; I was a bit concerned before blocking, but it is perfect and he’s got some room to grow. The only mod I made was to knit the garter stitch hem in the round rather than separating the front and back. I have found that the garter will flip up less this way.

The yarn is perfect for kids’ sweaters. Soft and durable, and I threw it in the dryer on my drying rack just so that he could wear it today and it suffered no ill effects.
