Notes

15/7/14: Cast on today. Grabbed a bunch of random blues and greys from my leftovers, and I’m going to do random stripes on one side. For the other side, I am planning to use the Maus Alt as the main colour, and use intarsia to change stripe colours across the top while decreasing the Maus Alt in a diagonal line. I don’t think I’m explaining this correctly, but hopefully it works out.

19/7/14: A little over halfway done. Back is finished, with lots of random stripes. I don’t think I used more than 10 or 15 g of most colours. Started the intarsia on the front and I think it looks pretty good, other than the very beginning. I’m doing shaped intarsia as explained in the Spring 2013 issue of knit.wear, and doing increases and decreases every row.

31/7/14: Done. I had to rip back the front and start over with a different rate of increase/decrease because it was too steep. I really love it. The pattern is so easy and really lends itself to experimentation with colours. I’m super happy with it and I’m going to wear it to a Jack White concert tonight (hence the totally over-the-top hair and makeup in the photos).
