Test knit for Laura.

Mods:
I worked 8 decreases per decrease row instead of 4, purely because I suck at reading instructions. I did a lot more increase rows, I think 19 altogether, in order to have a more a-line shape. I knit approx. 26.5 inches from my underarm and then did the ribbing. Also, no pocket. I never use them and they seem to hit right at the spot which I am most self-conscious about, so I omitted it.

The pattern is great, as usual. I knitted single-row stripes, alternating between the Kureyon and the Selkirk (which is the same yarn as Briggs and Little’s Regal in case anyone is wondering). I had to fudge a little at the beginning when knitting the short rows, but I don’t think it’s terribly noticeable.

I really like this dress. The yarn is pretty rustic but knits up nicely, and it’s very warm. I wear a lot of dresses layered like this in the winter, and I think I will get lots out of this one. Really happy with how it turned out.
