I was going to give a talk at our knitting club on how to make a hat because we were going to be knitting and donating chemo caps. Well, I figured I’d better make one so that I knew! This worked up very fast and I love the stitch. It’s very pretty. I couldn’t donate this one, though, because I just used scrap yarn I had, and this was scratchy wool which wouldn’t be good. But then I get to use it for myself. :)

I did not attach the band. It can come off and on. That way it’s easy to interchange should I ever want a band of a different color/decoration on, or just wear it plain (which is pretty with the rim the way it is).
