We have this pot with bare metal handles. They, of course, get very hot, and you have to use something to pick it up, or even to take off the cover, with or else you’ll get burned. Everyone so frequently complained about how ridiculous the design is when trying to take the cover off or pass the pot around the table during dinner, and I realized I could just crochet some cotton handles for it, and we should have no more problems with that. I had also gotten some orange cotton yarn by mistake, thinking it would be a different color, (that’s what happens when buying over the internet I guess…) and was looking for something I could use it for. I sewed on some velcro strips so they can easily strap on and off. I haven’t heard any complaints about that pot since! :)
