Note: I’ve added the additional pictures of the wobbly cowl, not to impress anyone, but to caution. I noticed there are not many (any) pictures of people actually wearing this cowl . It’s summer in Houston, I might change my mind about this project when winter rolls around.

My first attempt at Fair Isle. I followed the directions to the letter ( I usually don’t :), but I really wanted this to be perfect.

This was easy enough to knit. The pattern and the colors look great; however, I don’t know that it wears that nicely. It is too loose and you see more of the inside stranded yarns when worn. The beautiful pattern is lost when draped.

I got a good gauge and the final measurements were fine, but it looks enormous.

I’ve thought of steeking or lining. We’ll see.
