Ok, I’m on the bandwagon! I had many plans for making a sweet gradient rectangular blanket. But after not loving my swatch, and seeing how much fun everyone else is having zipping through their circular blankets — I decided life would be simpler if I change up my color pallette and knit it circular too! I’m le pumped.
Allowed myself to CO after finally finishing my long-haul pixelated pullover, and I’m loving it! The beginning goes so fast.

I knit with Silver Fox through row 38 (I love this color so much, I could knit a whole blanket in it!), then I began transitioning by holding a Silver Fox UT with Great Grey Owl TML, through row 51.

Next up! Great Grey Owl in TML held double, through row 63.
Shame I had too rider a whole skein of Tern in TML for the little bit I’m going to use, but it doesn’t come in Unicorn Tails. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll find something for the leftovers. Ordered today, hope it gets here fast!

Took a break from this for a few days, but made it through row 63, switched to 1 strand of GGO, held w/ one strand of Tern. At row 76 79, I switched to 2 strands of Tern (I figure I might as well use the rest of the skein up since I’ll have to buy more dk anyway). Next up, slipped stitches! At some point I need to decide what the other colors will be…

Ok, colors decided! Yarn on its way! I gave myself permission to keep going, and got though the first row of purl bumps with CC-C3 (Leopard), and the following two MC-C2 color rows before making myself go to bed. I can’t wait for the colors to get here!

I’m loving how this blanket is turning out, I can’t believe next month we’ll be on to the border! (I think I’ll miss the mindlessness, I’m hoping the cables won’t be too attention heavy!)
I need to knit an additional 12 rounds to finish the color pattern I established, but the stitch marker indicates round 200.
08.31.2016
Up to row 4 in the border chart, but I knit an extra 12 rounds on the body to finish the color pattern, so I’m really on round 216 so far!

Spending the evening catching up on my Carson now that my last skein is heeeeeeeeere!
10-16-2016
I finished this bad boy the day after the deadline (If I hadn’t been in denial about how much yarn I had left, it could have been the day of the deadline!).
I added a crochet scalloped edging -- to finish it off, to use up more of that last skein I had to order, and of course, to get the bicraftual badge! I love it.
Now I’m finally getting around to blocking this beast! Pre-blocked diameter: 50”.

Oh hai, maybe I should take some finished photos!
