So having watched a you tube video where. Kaffe describes his design process. He intuitively knits from scratch, blending colours in the fly. I have pulled out what I see as my autumn colours from my stash. Here goes some blending, aiming for

Mr would like me to turn this into a wall hanging. I like the idea of hanging this in our bedroom wall. I’m sure at what point to stop. This is obviously intended for a tall person to wear and the width of it means I can guess how heavy even a shorter one would be for me. I have no idea how I’m going to mount this.

Last week I sourced some poly wadding and a knit type fabric for the backing. Adding some garter stitch strips to the sides, before quilting it. Then I will need to embroider the leaf veins on.

The colours are more true to life on the photos taken outdoors, but it has gone up on the wall. I wanted to record the fact that it is no longer folded up in a bag.
