Each stripe is a year, starting with the late 1800s (at the bottom) through 2021 at the top. The darker the blue the colder than average the year. The darker the red the hotter than average the year.

This Tempestry Triptych will be part of the Illinois State Museum’s upcoming climate exhibit.
