Notes

The wedding is one week away from right now! The pattern was fun, pretty much easier than it looks, though I did have a few evenings frogging back a bit cause I wasn’t paying attention and screwed up, but no major issues. It’s not quite done yet, I’m going to try to block it. As of pre-blocking, I probably wouldn’t recommend this yarn for this pattern, but I was doing this project on a kind of short notice and low budget. Ideally I wanted to find a linen or something lighter, but finding just the right blue + yarn weight + doesn’t cost an arm and a leg is kinda tough. I did like the yarn, and would certainly use it again for something, but probably not lace project! The issue I’m having here is it’s sorta wobbly on the edges, and the middle diamonds are kinda uncrisp. I’m hopeful though that a good blocking will help, although with the ends all woven in, I’m more satisfied seeing the pictures than I thought I would be! Hopefully Janie likes it and it counts as something blue on Oct. 9th!

Update - Blocking helped some with the issues I was having. Added pictures of the bride from the wedding, everything was perfect!
