March 20th - I got through the difficult part, cable, lace, and raglan increases going on all at once. I had to make notes & a chart to keep track of what I was doing. I also had to frog a bit here and there to fix/find missing stitches. The chart helped a lot since there are a lot of different things happening at the same time. I feel really confident there are no mistakes now!

March 22nd - I’ve gotten through the body shaping decreases, and I only have 4 balls left. Eep. Decided to diverge from the pattern from here on for the body, in attempt to have a more fitted sweater and to hopefully help a bit with the yarn situation. Planning on doing 2 more decreases than the pattern calls for in my size, then two increases to get it up to 168 stitches. From there on I can work it as for the next size down, but I haven’t decided yet about the flare in the cable and lace. Mine might also end up shorter than the pattern calls for, again to help with my yarn situation.

March 30th - I did not do any flare in the cable/lace section at the bottom and it seems to have worked out nicely. I’m basically done, just have to weave in ends, block it and take some pictures! Fortunately the yarn situation was manageable. Too bad 1 ball/sleeve was not quite enough to do a full sleeve with the pattern at the end, but I am satisfied enough with the length. My first project for myself with substantial sleeves! This yarn is so soft and it is really nice to wear.

So happy with how this turned out. Turned out to be a great pattern/yarn combo, super comfortable, and the fit is great. I’ve worn it a ton. I think it might be my favorite F.O.!
