Ah, the cold weather is here. My niece has been sending me pictures of her newborn. I noticed that the socks she’s been wearing are bigger than her tiny feet. So, I decided to make some booties for her to wear in this cold weather.

As you noticed, the back of the scales are facing outward. I did tried to make the front of the scales facing outward but the scales kept curling up even after straighten them out. So, I remade the scales with the back facing outward as shown on the tutorial video.

For Boutique Unforgettable booties, I tried to select the part of the yarn that would be a good match for both booties. Unfortunately, the colors in that skein didn’t have the same repeat.

I used double strands of the Lion Brand Baby Soft yarns to make the pink booties with size hook 4.0 mm (G).
