This technique is wonderful. Except for sewing on her ears she is knit all in one piece in such clever construction. I especially like her ears and her eyebrows. She has standard 7mm black safety eyes.

This was somewhat of a challenge, though harder on my son’s nerves than my own. Lots of “what did I do now” yelps. Yet as is usual I found it quite enjoyable to knit and see her come to life. Though I admit I had a terrible time with her nose until Rob helped me out with the suggestion of first stitching a V and then a straight stitch in the center, then fill it in. Great improvement over my own attempts. And I’ve embroidered since I was 5 years old.

I bought this yarn before I was keeping good records and only wrote down that it was Regia sock yarn. I’m learning all the time.

Hickory is great friends with “Beamer” though at times they take turns riding in the truck with my husband and sometimes they go visit friends. His not theirs.
