Border was 2 rows of single crochet and 1 row of reverse single crochet (crab stitch)

Finished size is 35” x 30” using the pattern indicated number of stitches for the width.

Instead of cutting the color on each row or using two balls of each color to make it easier to carry the color up, I just would work one row across, hold it with a stitch marker, work the other color across the same way, and then pick up the first color, carrying up as needed. Since the directional of the two types of rows didn’t matter relative to each other, this worked fine and only required one ball of yarn for each color.
