I fancied a lovely looking lacy cowl in Tesco yesterday. I’ve been meaning to make myself one all summer ready for the autumn weather, but other than adding a cone of 2ply to my stash,
I never got around to it. So I bought it - I didn’t think I’d have time to make something out of such fine thread now. But having got it home and tried it on, the drape was messy, the length looked funny and I realised that I’d much prefer something more chunky. So out came my hook and in just one evening in front of the tv I’ve whipped up about 40% of it! I’d forgotten how much I love theses little projects that you can just wizz through without giving them too much attention.

Finished! I got a bit carried away and got to 70 inches long before joining it. Needless to say I had to go back and frog 12 inches to make it a useable length!
