I asked my mom which colors she’d like for Christmas gifts, thinking I’d get to play with bright colors I don’t normally wear (her favorite color is yellow, for instance). She said she wanted something neutral--creams, tans, beige, or something. I was afraid that would come across as a fishing net in a lace weight, but the color I chose, Kitten, is a very pretty color. (Could have been called Whole Wheat or California Sand.) If she doesn’t want the scarf at the end of all this, I’ll keep it.

Had to interrupt the crocheting of this Kitten scarf with ACTUAL kittens! We adopted two brother kittens, 9 weeks old, both black with silvery ghost stripes. Total loves.

Been otherwise occupied, knitting, writing for National Novel Writing Month, and compulsively seeking election news (and hiding from such at times). Managed to finish six rows today. I’m now up to 53 repeats / 106 rows. Looks like I’ll get about 66 repeats from this skein.

I have a tiny bit of yarn left, but not enough to do another repeat, maybe not even enough for another row.
