I used larger eyes than in the pattern, mine are 12mm

also, I think in the pattern the color is stated wrongly at least once (as in ‘change to yarn X’) so to avoid too much confusion on my part I just chose the colors that I liked best for the cross stitch pattern and for joining back and belly. single crochets (US) / double crochets (UK) were used for the join.
