Skipping the Henley detail (and the steek). Using 2.75mm and 3mm because that’s what I have.

01-06-2024

Just realized that I need to increase additional five stitches in order to make up for lack of Henley. Will do that in last several rows of yoke chart, and then incorporate those into the raglan chart as an additional vertical gingham band.

Also realized I could have skipped the provisional cast-on and just started with a neck band. Ah well!

01-08-2024

Hmmm. I get to the suggested yoke length before I complete the increases and the raglan chart for my chosen size. I think best course is to continue the chart and complete all the increases so that my stitch count is on target for the separation of sleeves and body.

01-10-2024

Just separated sleeves. Onward!

01-13-2024

Will need to go up to 3.25mm needle for skirt because I need a longer cable.

01-15-2024

Starting skirt!! Don’t need to change to larger needles yet—I can still fit stitches on the short cable. Might have to change with next increase.

01-19-2024

Stitcher friend suggested leaving sleeves as capped sleeves or short sleeves. I like that idea. So it might be another mod.

02-13-2024

Am on last gingham tier of skirt. Still on correctly sized needle and a very crowded cable.

02-16-2024

Further mods:

shorter sleeves

neckband in CC2 and done just as skirt and sleeve hems

all hems (neck, sleeves, skirt) are 12 rows, purl row, change to smaller needles, 10 rows, k2tog bind off.

02-18-2024

Instead of using two needles for hem closure, I just used the working needle only and dipped into a wrong side stitch and k2tog with live stitch, then bound off. I posted a pic.

02-20-2024

Done! Now to wet block and see how that changes size and drape.
