Trying the helpful mods from tashahanson’s Sturdy Stem Calla Lily
but I just knit the stamen part instead of full stem and put it on a stick.

For the YOs of outer blossom, I ktbl on next to close hole.

It took me three tries, and I finally got it. The second one used a variegated yarn that made a great stamen but a weird flower. For the third attempt, I went back to the originally used reclaimed yarn, and combined with Tasha’s mods, it worked.

The first one was a disaster primarily because I ignored the stitch placement that the designer specified. But you need it.
