Switched from my 3.75mm Rockets to my blunt 4mm Turbos after I finished the body since the sharp points were splitting the loosely twisted yarn and hurting my fingertips. there’s very little stuffing in these parts so the looser knit isn’t noticeable, except that it’s creating EXTRA long limbs & tail. Since I was running low on yarn I reduced the number of rows a little.
I’m not thrilled with this yarn/project combo. It’s rough with too much grey, very splitty, and I’m starting to run low, not sure I’ll have enough to get matching legs and so far all the contrast bits are different colours.
I sewed up the body before adding the eyes, oops. Will try felt eyes, that’ll make him suitable for the Children’s Hospital, but the real wool isn’t ideal for them. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll find him a good home.

He’s done now, looks ok I guess. Kinda cute with a funny crooked mouth. DH likes him a lot.
He seems unnaturally attached to a particular ball of yarn I pulled out last night; he’s been obsessively hugging it ever since I sewed his arms on, and he got a little cranky when I took it away from him for the photo-shoot. These critters come out with some of the strangest personality quirks. DH wonders if he’s hoping it will become a sibling for him.
