Wild Thing, I Think I Love You!

After a long break to move apartments, and be distracted by Minnie Mouse and Patch I finally got back to finishing my first Wild Thing. He’s wearing the iconic Stanfield’s Red-wool, drop-seat long-johns (still made by the same family company in nearby Truro NS after 130 years or so.)

My, now estranged, former best friend is a member of the Stanfield family and I’ve heard that she had a baby in the last year. If I can track her down, I’ll give her Wild Thing as a baby gift.

My photo gear is still packed from the move, with the current setup the photos aren’t 100% crisp focus and his red jammies look more pinky or orangy than in real life, they’re actually a wonderful holly berry red, just like the real Stanfield undies. It’s also hard to make out the defined gluteus maximus and Plummer’s crack in the photos, but they’re there, and they’re cute.

In photo #3 he got a hold of the camera phone and tried to take a selfie, but his arms are kinda short.

I’m naming him Stanfield, but DH thinks that if he doesn’t do up the flap on his Jammie’s, then we should call him Kevin, after my father, who avoids wearing pants as much as possible.

I showed him to my mom today. Even before she turned him over she regignized them and said “Oh! He’s wearing his little Stanfields”
