67 1/2” x 8 1/2” plus 5 1/2” fringe

A bit of leno lace at the ends, and a warp/weft float combo throughout.

I was nervous about weaving with single ply purewool (especially as warp) as I’d not seen a lot of projects done with it or Malabrigo, and seen comments about how it was not ideal. But, I found it to be delicious to work with. Just as in knitting. It did get a little fuzzy from the heddle rubbing, and was a bit sticky. However, all in all, it was soft and squishy to work with and the resulting fabric is heavenly. I have some colorways direct from 100purewool, and plan to weave a couple of scarves for the fall of 2011 for myself with this base. It’s just too delicious not to!
