• Followed pattern instructions for cuff/heel tab.
• Originally knit slipped stitch section of heel flap to 2.75” (as I traditionally do for my high instep) but it was too long. Ripped back and re-worked heel flap so it was 2.75” from middle of heel tab (which turned out to be the number of rows pattern recommended); fit much better.
• I LOVED THE LOLA PICK UP WRAP!!! It was great not to have to pick up stitches with my dark MC yarn.
• Knit 1 round of CC after arch gusset ribbing instructions to balance the 1 round of knit CC that preceded the ribbing.
• Substituted a rounder toe but used the pattern instructions to ktbl over the first ssk stitch in the subsequent round. It smoothed things out. (Patty Lyon’s One Move SSK also corrects wonky SSK appearance for those who like to experiment.)

* Used JMCO over 2 needles as a provisional CO. It is my go-to for knitted hemmed brims and I wanted to compare it to Nelkin’s provisional CO recommendation.

The Finchley graft became my grafting method of choice ever since Roxanne Richardson’s video release of how she came across it, demonstrated it, and suggested the Finchley graft name. I was happy that Nelkin acknowledged this in this pattern’s supporting video tutorial.
