Attempted to make a child size hat by using DK weight yarn and smaller needles. Hat measurements are 8” height and 18” circumference (approx.), which should fit a toddler to small child according to a hat sizing chart.

Used US 6 needles for stockinette and US 7 for colorwork.

Used dark color chart for brim and light color chart for body.

Added extra round of k2tog at end so only 6 sts would need to be cinched closed.

Yarn Usage
Pre-cast on: dusk=49g; serene=49g
After brim completion: dusk=17g; serene=38g
After body completion: dusk=10g; serene=32g
After crown completion: dusk=10g; serene=28g

Measurements
circumference: 16” pre-blocking; 18” post-blocking
height: 7” pre-blocking; 8” post-blocking
gauge: 19sts and 22 rounds per 4” in stranded colorwork after blocking
