Basic triangle in the middle, top stitches left live on original needle, new needle to pick up stitches down two short sides. Stripes of the other colours in a basic old shale.
I needed some mindless knitting - everything else is colourwork that needs to be watched.
29.6.15 Growing nicely - centre triangle live stitches now scrunched up on holder as the other needle was getting in the way.
Used the pale brown for the starting triangle and then will save the rest for a plain band and the edging at the bottom. The dark brown, honey, and cream will be striped variously as I go along - rather like the way it’s looking at the moment. Lots of knitting was done on Sunday 28th as Mark drove me up to Hadrian’s Wall and back to fetch beef and a fleece from Castlemilk.
Cast off using the simplified Truly TAsha’s Shawl edging on WEdnesday 8th July. Needs ends weaving in and then finished. It won’t really need stretch-blocking as it’s cashmere rather than bouncy wool.
