Yarn bought via Ravelry yonx ago.
Knitting it with a v fine strand of brushed mohair, from a cone I have in the stash. I want to get a very faint halo on the finished sweater.
Now, can I get this finished for the Solstice.
My tension comes in at 19/4” rather than the 22 called for, so will knit the M to fit my shoulders and back in to as that will be approx the L size, and take the waist in a little more than noted.
Tension work out before work today (Friday). Cast on at lunchtime. Will knit entirely in the round, as the buttons on the yoke will only catch in my hair.
Pulled back this afternoon and recast on, without the fine mohair thread. It was getting to be a nuisance to keep the tension on both yarns the same. Also replaced neck ribbing with original moss stitch. Managed to get back to place I’d pulled back from this evening,

Been knitting furiously, and just go to the end of the waist shaping. Tried on in the loo at work (decent mirrow) and it’s about long enough so I’ll do another row and start the increases.

About 6” down the first sleeve, and I tried it on. The body fits nicely, the sleeve is v tight. Odd. So pulled back, I’ll pick up about 12 stitches on the u’arm instead of the 8 called for,and then not decrease. A long straight sleeve actually gives a nice flared effect when finished.

First sleeve knitted straight on 74 sts for 6” then decrease every 9 rows until 12” long. Edge then finish, about halfway between elbow and wrist. Cast off on trian to work today, next sleeve picked up at lunchtime.

Last sleeve mostly finished at today’s visit to the Japanese weekend at the Royal Armouries museum, and cast off during Strictly. Really pleased with it, about to wash and block.
