I’m making this as a wedding present, and it seemed a bit small as written since I want it to be able to cover two laps. :) To adjust I used Doris Chan’s advice in this post: http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/doris-chan-crochet/2612210...

Fastening off after row 26, then adding another repeat of rows 16-27, worked great for me. Along with a bump in hook size to 6, it’s ended up measuring about 70” in diameter.
