My first ever afghan! I really enjoyed making this though I messed up a bunch of times. First: I used a half-size up from the pattern’s recommended 6.5mm hook. Mistake. Moogly knows from whence she speaks when she recommended a 6.5mm hook and I disregarded her advice, resulting in a blanket a bit holier than you’d want on a cold winter’s night.

Also, the color changes threw me several times, resulting in short rows a and having to redo my work. I did finally come to grok the pattern, but it took me a bit.

And lastly… I just don’t have a good eye for color. I couldn’t find the exact colors she listed in her pattern and tried to approximate, but failed when it came to the dark-purple and bright yellows. Ugh. My next one won’t be so rainbowy…. maybe all purple/blue/green?
