May 30 - started this last night (cheating, ha!) as I know I’m going to get sucked back into another urgent project June 1 when some yarn comes in. My only worry is the very first row after chaining, which seems to have some extra gaps/air between the stitches. I probably didn’t do that bit right but hopefully it’ll hold up fine even if it stretches.

June 5 - this has been the most challenging crochet I’ve done yet; it’s so hard to know where you’re at when doing a ton of single crochet. Accidental increases or decreases just disappear into the fabric, so there’s lots of counting to confirm I’m in the right place. But after ripping out a bunch of rows and accepting some errors I’m on my way to understanding it and I love the end result!

After the key pattern I’m going to try my hand at making my own repeating design for the top half of the bag. :)
