mods - provisional cast on with contrast color and knit the 3” I am supposed to add later on then switched to the main color and began pattern as written. I will knit the cast on edge to the brim (instead of sewing later) after the colorwork section.
No pom pom. Just because.

This is my absolute favorite hat and the three layers of wool keep my ears warm in our strong Idaho winds.
