EASTERN CROSSED KNITTING METHOD
Well written tutorial with photos explaining how to knit stocking stitch (or stockinette) where the stitches are twisted. This is a good method when you are planning to drop stitches between sections of knitting. A good example is spinnyknitter’s Phiaro Scarf.

SHORT ROW TECHNIQUES
My favourite these days is German Short Rows (youtube), along with another video by the same person that shows how to substitute German Short Rows when the pattern tells you to use the wrap & turn method.
Here are the youtube video links to Cat Bordhi’s method for short rows: Part 1 and Part 2. She talks about using this technique for socks (turning the heel), but obviously it can be used anywhere you want an invisible wrap in your knitting. The written version of this technique can be found in her knitting book; New Pathways for Sock Knitters: Book One.
