Notes

Using up the leftover yarn from the 2 kiddie sweaters I made in May to make these socks for my older son who just moved to Pittsburgh PA to attend Duquesne Law School. Winter will be quite a shock to him, being raised in Arizona. Hopefully these socks will help keep his toes warm and remind him of his family back here in AZ. Doing cuff down. Started with 64 stitches to accommodate his ginormous feet (he’s 6’5” tall). Did 1x1 twisted rib at the cuff for 2 inches, then alternated stripes (5 rounds of each color). At the 3rd or 4th stripe, I started decreasing 4 st per round every 6-8 rows until I was down to 56 stitches so the sock won’t be baggy around his ankle. Simple gusset heel and continuing stripes through the foot. Had to use some leftover Mad Tosh DK for the toe as I didn’t have enough leftover!!!
