The written instructions are a bit difficult to process at first. Prior experience and notes from other Ravelers helped. It is an intricate pattern and must have been challenging to formulate.

Next time when beginning the 3 stitch strip, I would knit 14 rows, rather than 12, thus creating the 5th slipped st. to pick up. This leaves 3 sts to pick up when undoing the crochet cast-on chain.

Thankfully the charts themselves are relatively straightforward although I feel improvements could be made to standardize the symbols and unify the chart sections for convenience and clarity.

The finished design is superb and well worth the effort.
