Picking up the correct number of stitches for the side poles was a chore, as expected. Despite slipping first stitch and ktbl of last stitch on even rows, paying attention taking care, I had to ‘create’ a few stitches. Just so everything ultimately lined up, it was worth the dread and resulting vigilance.
