Used fingering yarn as I felt worsted would be too bulky.

Picked up stitches on the basket base and knit in the round. Seemed a bit floppy, so I lightly felted the basket and then added the handles.

I wanted the recipient to be able to change the blanket colors, so I didn’t sew the blanket to the basket. No button added.

My “baby” came out longer and skinnier than the pattern sample photo. Next time, I will knit this in the round to avoid the ugly seamed ends.

Knitted a panty/diaper in the round because I didn’t like the nekkid baby.
