I had another go at a Cherry Berry. This time I used DK wool, added a rib brim, the main bit of the hat is stocking stitch, and it is a bit deeper, so it has a bit of a droop. I think this makes it a bit trendier, and I think the fact that my friend’s daughter wore it throughout our jubilee street party, and looked great, might mean I’m heading in the right direction.

Still not sure I’m completely happy, so I may have a go at another version before I publish the pattern.

Again I have used Lesley Stanfield’s lovely cherry as a decoration, but this time I have also used her small leaf pattern.
