Test knitting is complete!

I frequently get requests to create child or adult sized versions of my doll patterns, and this sweater pattern is the result of those. It’s the child’s size version of Mae Hooded Pullover Sweater for 18 Inch American Girl Dolls.

Includes instructions for sizes 4(6: 8: 10: 12) years

This was also my first foray into Kool Aid dying, which came about unexpectedly. I ordered the yarn online, and it was supposed to be (ahem) all from the same dye lot. However, when I was about 3/4 of the way through knitting up my project, I discovered there were actually 2 different dye lots in my bag of yarn, and my eyes hadn’t discerned it until it was actually knit up. I was not down with ripping everything out, ordering more yarn and starting back at square one. So over dyeing with black cherry Kool Aid commenced (with all ten fingers crossed), and I was very happy to discover it had worked. =D

P.S. The last picture was included because my daughter, Sophie, wanted her hamster, Molly, to be in the picture. Boy, I never realized how big that hamster is until I saw her in a photo! =D
