I am using Elle Gold DK - many colours as I am using up my stash and undertook not to use any off-white (my usual go-to main colour) in this project.

The pattern in conjunction with the video instructions are clear and easy to understand.

Part 1-2

• I decided to add extra petals at the end of part 1 of the extension in the centre panel.
• I also added buds on top of the popcorn clusters.

Part 3

• I’ve upped my hook size to 5mm for R35-40 as I am normally a tight crocheter and don’t want this mesh section to pull. I still need to see whether it will work.

• Using a larger hook (5mm) for R35-40 has worked brilliantly. I reverted back to a 4.5mm hook after this section. I am very pleased about the outcome.
