Front facings: instead of knitting (and sewing on! NO!) a tiny ribbing scarf, I picked up and knit (with smallest needles, US 6) one stitch per row all down the front and 3 sts/ 4 rows on the small ribbing. Work in garter stitch, 7 ridges showing on front, bind off.

Collar: work mostly as written except in brioche stitch.
