I think I have been working on this for about 5 years… on and off… near the end it is just soo heavy and bulky to move around.

I also can not remember where I got the pattern, but this one from red heart looks similar. I may have got the pattern from the CROCHET CROWD a free pattern with a video by Mikey.

Easy pattern, works up quick… if you keep at it…lol…

Next time I will not use bernat alpaca, they use up too quickly and are a bit scratchy! I have lost count on how many I have purchased…. tooo many!!!

Next time I think I will try a corner start entrelac afghan.

I started the pattern with carrying up the colour changes along each side, but noticed a ridge. So I switched and started ending each colour and then attaching the next, seemed to work, less bulky but when you lay it flat it still wants to curl on those same areas, as you can see in the 2nd picture. However this may flatten out when I block it.
