This sweater is one of my most favorite knits ever! I love Terri’s patterns. They are always so well written and the designs are super cute! Camdyn is 7.5 years and the 8 year size fits her perfectly (with just a little room to grow). I’m hoping that it will last her through the winter.

I didn’t make any modifications to the pattern other than at the bottom ribbing I did (RS) k1, (p2, k2) to last stitch, k1. This just makes things a tad bit more symmetric, but isn’t necessary by any means.

I love the Purpuras/Plomo combination! It turned out really cute and girly without being too sweet. The buttons are mother of pearl and match the Plomo really well.

Arroyo was great to work with and the colors knit up really well. I didn’t have an issue with any pooling. I used one skein of Purpuras just for the stripes and the other skein for the button band, bottom ribbing, and cuff ribbing. This is a great way to incorporate two skeins that are a bit different without making it obvious in your final garment.

To block the sweater, I first washed it in warm water with wool wash (no dye left in the bath!) then placed in the dryer on low/delicate setting until damp. I laid the sweater flat to finish drying.
