Notes

Socks That Rock is tightly twisted so the pattern really shows up. My issue with this yarn was when I knit with it my hands and nails turned black. When I blocked it the water was black. If I had used this yarn in a two color project I would have been upset.

The pattern is so fun! When I volunteered to do this pattern I was dreading the bead work. In the end I loved doing the beads and looked forward to the bead row. You use a very small crochet hook to place the beads.

I live very close to Shipwreck Beads so I was able to take my yarn to the store and match up the beads. I used size 6 metal beads. I used one strand of the beads.

I didn’t quite have enough yarn so I skipped a pattern repeat. Since I’m under 5 ft this worked out ok.

They say you wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time. This shawl is in my 20%. It has become a staple!
