Another lovely and versatile pattern from Tinna. When the pattern description said there were charts for 36 separate tile patterns, I knew I had to buy it!

My first project with the pattern will be two placemats for me and DH to use here at home. I think I’ll need two tiers of tiles, three tiles each tier. Today I am halfway through the firsf tier. I’m making them with dishcloth cotton - not used to working with such heavy unyielding yarn so it’s kinda hurting my hands. I’m pleased with result so far, just need to go slower.

Tinna just updated this pattern with 36 more tiles! Wow, I have ideas galore for what to do.

Right now I will continue. I may just make one placement; this yarn hurts my hands if I crochet for very long. Plus it’s actually a little bigger than a placemat, so I might call it a gigantic hot pad / trivet.

Finished by braiding the yarn ends - I could not do one more crochet stitch with this heavy yarn. I like the way it turned out but my hands won’t take making the second one - maybe later.
