This was a delightful and easy knit. I will definitely revisit this pattern in the future as it allows for a lot of creativity on the part of the knitter.
A couple of notes on what I did here:
- I used one skein of Lion Brand Mandala in Gnome. I used a scale and ball winder to weigh the skein as I wound the ball. Luck was with me as the color change was at exactly half the weight.
- I have a slipped stitch edge. I slipped one wyif then kfb on the right side and slipped one wyif and knitted across on the wrong side.
- I did add the eyelet rows as a contrast to the biased stripes. I noticed that the eyelet rows have a 12 stitch repeat so after the last eyelet row, I have 11 stitches.
- When it came time to decrease (stop increasing), I noticed there were 3 stitches from the edge to the first eyelet. So when decreasing towards the end I made sure to not add an eyelet when I got to 3 stitches (plus the slipped edge so 4 sts total) before where the eyelet would go.
To Bias or Not to Bias Scarf
I Like this Scarf but I’m Biased
Slipped Stitch Edge
Always slip the first stitch of every row and knit the last stitch of every row.
Note: Stitch counts will not inclue the first and last stitch of a row.
Stripe pattern
I used 1 skein of Mandala Yarn (150gr) split in two (2, 75gr balls).
Ball 1 is MC ball 2 is CC.

CC 12 ridges
